In addition to all the basic information that most people would need to get started, the book does have some more advanced tactics and strategies as well. One of the strategies in particular allowed me to get a much more realistic valuation on names that I already possess.
Acquire Quality Domain Names
The guide is probably most strong in showing you many ways to aquire quality domain names. One thing I really like about the guide is that they really focus in on how to get a quality domain name that you will have a good chance for selling for more than your purchase. I really wish I had known some of the tricks in this book when I started out years ago buying domain names. It could have kept me from grabbing some names that now have little value.
The guide does a good job of explaining domain name valuation and giving you all the basic informationyou need to find a quality domain name. The book is also very realistic in expectations and providing the reader with a path to really making money in the domain name game.
Parking Domain Names
Again in this area the guide really does a good job of explaining your options. From my reading I was able to setup a parking account and begin to actually start making money off domains that had been previously just sitting idle. Now I probably could have figured out some of this myself, but the book was easy to follow and made the entire process a breeze. I believe it would be quite possible for someone with no previous experience in domain names to take this guide and begin finding names and parking them to make money. There are no real magic money making principals. It's solid information that makes the guide well worth the price for those who wish to get started in the domain name business.
Selling Domain Names
The guide has solid basic information for selling domain names and I learned several new angles as well. Overall I would say this is probably the area that I would like to see further expanded in future editions of the product, but this certainly covers everything you would need to know to start making money in the domain name industry.
Overall Conclusion
The Domain Profit Guide is a great guide for someone looking to get their start in the domain name business. The author does a good job of presenting all the basic material in an easy to understand way. Then the guide goes on to show many practical real world tools that are free, that you can use to find the best domains possible. I already considered myself experienced and there was much in this guide I did already know. Still there was much I learned and with the time I've saved and the money I will now be making on rolling out parked domains I'm keeping this guide and will refer back to it often.
